A murder case in Atlanta caught my attention in large part because I always find interesting cases where the manner of death is an issue. This is one of them. Atlanta attorney Claud “Tex” McIver shot his wife Diane on September 25, 2016. He was just charged with murder, in part, because of his behavior between the shooting and now. Diane McIver was in the front passenger seat of a Ford Expedition driven by her friend Patricia Carter. Tex McIver sat behind his wife. They were returning from the McIvers’ horse ranch about 70 miles outside Atlanta. When they ran into heavy traffic, Carter took an exit off the highway.
