Franklin, aka the Grim Sleeper, is charged with 10 murders but believed to have murdered many more. He is facing the death penalty. The trial is taking place in downtown Los Angeles.

Couch was 16 years old when he was placed on 10 years probation for killing four while driving drunk. He turns 19 on April 11. This hearing is seeking a transfer of the case to adult court.
