Jodi Arias brutally slaughtered her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander at his Mesa, Arizona home on June 4, 2008. She left his naked, slashed and shot body in the shower stall of his master bathroom. Arias attempted to cover her tracks at the house, even throwing towels and sheets in the washing machine. Among the items she inadvertently left in the washer as she fled the scene, was Travis’s digital camera–a fatal error on her part as it contained incriminating evidence of the murder.  The following month Mesa police arrested Arias at the northern California home of her grandparents where she was living.
