UPDATE on July 27, 2016: On the eve of Officer Garrett Miller’s trial, the State announced this morning that it will NOT go forward with the remaining three trials. The charges against Miller, Alicia White and William Porter will be dismissed. The gag order is lifted. Another Baltimore trial is scheduled this week for an officer charged with crimes related to the death of Freddie Gray in April 2015. Officer Garrett Miller’s trial is scheduled for Wednesday but it’s unclear if it’ll actually start that day. That’s because the court must first hold a hearing to make sure the evidence the State wants to use against Miller is admissible.
