Week one of testimony in the quadruple capital murder trial of Charles Merritt has wrapped. Court is not in session on Fridays. Several witnesses testified this week to set the scene for what was happening in the lives of the McStay family at the time they disappeared in early February 2010 and the circumstances surrounding the missing persons report. Joseph, 40, his wife Summer, 43, and their two sons Gianni, 4, and Joseph Jr., 3, vanished from their home in Fallbrook, CA, in San Diego County. It would be more than three years before their remains were found in two shallow graves in the desert of San Bernardino County.
