UPDATE: I spoke with OJ Simpson’s former attorney, Gabe Grasso, today (July 17) about the parole hearing. Grasso no longer represents Simpson but he was helpful in guiding me through the process. I made changes below. Specifically, Simpson is being considered for parole on two counts of assault and the weapons enhancement charge that was part of the robbery and kidnapping charges. O.J. Simpson’s next parole hearing is July 20, 2017 before the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners. The hearing is at 1:00 p.m. EST and will be conducted via video link from Simpson’s prison. The parole board is considering whether to grant parole on two assault charges and the weapons enhancement of the 12 charges for which he was convicted in October 2008.
