UPDATE on Oct. 11: Court was in session for only a few minutes today for what was expected to be day 4 of the trial. Twelve of the 16 jurors showed up. It’s unclear what happened with the other four jurors but parts of the county are still without power so it’s possible those four are in that group. The trial is scheduled to resume tomorrow with 5 to 6 witnesses to be called by the state. Several more witnesses were called by the state on day 3 of the trial. The six witnesses to take the stand were a combination of police officers and civilians who observed Harris at the scene soon after he says he discovered his 22-month-old son, Cooper, dead and still strapped into his car seat.
