UPDATE on July 6 at 7:50 am: Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to six years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. Murder carries a minimum of 15 years in prison unless the judge finds reason to mitigate. (He had received a five year sentence for the lower culpable homicide conviction.)
